The 3 keystones of sourcing and there is no clear limit between them. Many disagree on the hierarchy between them and would not state a clear order between them, but how should this be organized then? Since all these are equally important we have developed an organizational setup of these 3 keystones that will safeguard the implementation of the developed sourcing strategy with minimizing risk to quality and on-time delivery. We have a Strategic sourcing team, that even though it is primarily measured on savings as any strategic sourcing team (where available) is is also measured on several other factors like cooperation length, and in the overall metrics of the strategic sourcing team we also have additionally the metrics of the entire team. The operational sourcing team is measured on on-time delivery/JIT mainly but the several other metrics are designed to increase the perfect-order percentage. Sourcing Quality is always a crucial question when it comes to sourced materials or services. The main metric here is the quality issues a supplier hands over to the customer. Quality check is always done by the appropriate engineers. A unique setup between the relation of these 3 makes it easier have maintainability and constant delivery of results throughout extended periods of time with any fluctuation that ocures. The need for the 3 way communication of information and data makes the 3 groups equally important starting from the first delivery. This way not only the the savings will prevail in the assessment of the supplier but, the complete set of information about the entire cooperation history will be assessed every time a suppliers name comes up.
